Kelly Sulca Hernandez is an award-winning, multidisciplinary designer based in Eastern Pennsylvania. Kelly’s creative journey began as a digital illustrator and hobbyist, then eventually branched out to a career in visual design. Her transition into visual communication is a reflection of her range and creative adaptability. Her main sources of inspiration come from her own lived experiences, pop culture, and desire to see more diverse representations in art and design.
Recognition
In 2022, Kelly achieved recognition by securing two American Advertising Addy awards for her contributions to cross-platform integrated brand identity design and an outdoor advertising media project. In 2023, her mural won a NETA Public Media Award for Overall Excellence in Marketing & Communications as a part of the "Get More Local" campaign. And in 2024, she received two honorable mentions from AIGA Philadelphia's annual Locally Sourced publication in the advertising and user experience categories.
Just for Fun
Beyond her creative pursuits, she enjoys spending time with her Shiba Inu, Heidi, traveling, collecting vintage ephemera, toys, and live music. Ask her about her favorite podcasts and coffee shops in the Lehigh Valley.
